rug rub

at the moment my horse goes out in the paddock for the day with her cotton sheet on and her waterproof over the top. she has started to loose her hair around her shoulders where the rug is rubbing. any tips on how to stop this?

Put a bib on underneath and loosen the rugs off a bit, the top on in particular. Usually rubbed shoulders is due to ill fitting rugs (to tight).

I've just read the BEST solution Tell her to eat her crusts. It puts hairs on the chest :lol::lol:

A bib

My TB mare has skinny shoulders and no matter what rug she has on, it manages to rub.

It's INFURIATING.

She's being a broodmare again from this season so I won't worry too much but if she ever wants to be shown again I'm getting her custom made rugs as it's not worth the hassle.
