White patch issues

    I have been using the same saddle for 3 years but got a newer no slip saddle pad. Recently noticed a white patch develope on our girls whithers... . anyone e else have this happen. Shes a halflinger and as round as a barrel so the saddle is a draft saddle.

    sounds like a poor saddle fitting problem to me.

    Yes, white on the wither is a bad sign. It usually indicates a bad fit at some point and it may never go away. I have come across many horses with this type of scarring. Find a pony club manual and check your saddle fit against its recommendations. Slight adjustments can be made with saddle pads and shims but a well fitting saddle is the best option.
