Thank you everyone for allowing me to vent and for empathising. Reading everyone's posts made me feel a lot better - not because other people are having bad luck too - but because it makes you realise you are doing the best you can and sometimes s### just happens regardless.

Bethy - I hope Honda is doing well and makes a great recovery.

Widgelli - like Belinda said, I never would have guessed by your posts that you're having such a bad run of things. You always give great advice and I thank you for that.

Now, if only I could have such great mentors in other aspects of my life ...

Why do we bother?

because we must be suckers for it, that's why!! LOL

if i didn't have my horses, i would be lots fatter & sitting on the couch watching videos & eating way too much junkfood.

the horses keep me sane, somewhere all of my own where my family members keep out of, mostly.

don't get me wrong, i love my family, but sometimes, i crave the solitude of a horse ride, with no one else, but me & my horse. a great way to feel content & appreciate life.

it might sound a bit selfish for a mother, but, it keeps me happy which i then in turn pass the happiness to my family.

now, if i could win Lotto & buy that perfect block & house, i would be truly happy. oh well.....

Your not wrong about the horses keeping us sane when there is a family around. It is a bit of solitude that is needed when you can escape to the wide open on a horse, without someone saying Mummy till you get back.
It was my piece of the day , until the kids started to ride , then they came along too. I used to enjoy that as well though and must say that most of the people that I used to knock around the showgrounds with were wonderful people too.
It is rather funny that I have bought this up , as I ran into an old friend who used to show Clydies the other day , and we were having a great laugh at some of the things that we used to get up to.
Nothing like having a horse and horsey friends.

Must be something in the air!! Lol, I am feeling the blues too and missing my horse and horsey friends back in WA. If I win the NZ or UK lotto tonight I'll be on the first plane out of Auckland!!
