LOL Trojane god forbid we form a group and all go on a ride, **shudders at the thought of lots of co-dependant horses all in one spot**

Good point about being low in the pecking order. This is a good point, for ted it is definitely the case.

He is low in the pecking order, hell he lets Geese chase him

Insecure Geldings Anonymous LMAO

Another thing that bothers me about this co-dependency is it was latent, and we may have never uncovered it without the move. It's almost like waking up in the morning and finding your horse has been switched. Maybe he needs a pet husky (thanks Toy)!!

The challenge ahead is to overcome it - if that is achievable. By the sound of others, it'll take time and stamina...but then horses weren't meant to be easy (were they???)

I have a mare that is co-dependent. She constantly fence walks and gets herself into a right state when we are working with the mare she has attached herself too!

As the mare she is attached to goes to shows every now and them I just take the attitude of tough love. She does get over it quickly when the other mare has left the property and when we are working with the other mare we just ignore Paris's pleas!

I've overcome this problem with a couple of codepenent mares by seperating them only for a short distance, but making it a little further and longer each times...

LOL trojane,
i can ride either one of my two any where any time with out the other even blinking
BUT
if i put anything in the float with dash, he must get married or something in there, as when we get to the other end of the trip (show) you CAN NOT remove the companion under any circumstances.
yet he will go to a show by himself, and could not give a rats ass who or what are there LOL
go figure.
so i NEVER take another horse with me if i have dash on board.
so to answer your question
I HAVE NO IDEA lol lol lol
sorry.
cheers

Hi Smash - I'm disappointed - thought you'd wave your magic wand for me!!

But really, what is it with floats?? What do they get up to in there? Have seen this happen over and over. My boy's a polygamist for sure!!!
