You can go to the stock feeds and get a tube of protexin it is really good for stopping them from scouring. ihave done it on both a thoroughbred and a pony excellent stuff. I have also used yakult in their feed this also helps

Micronized maiize and breeda. We had a weanling scouring for months last year and this combination cleared it up. Recommended by a TOP vet in Perth. Think he was on Prolacsis paste too.

D Scour - works wonders costs about $22 for a tube you should get a couple of treatments out of the tube - depends on size of the horse / pony.
Do one in the night feed and again in the morning.
I wouldnt let any diahorrea go on for more than a couple of days without calling a vet.
good luck

A very good vet told me that the 3 most common reasons for scouring are....sand,sand and sand! I'd get the vet too-probably needs a drench.

There are many reasons that cause diarrhoea. If its been going on for 2 weeks, I'd definitely be calling a vet.

They may need to do blood tests, faecal analysis etc etc.

Parasites, sand, allergies can be some causes, but there can also be other infections that cause diarrhoea which can be quite serious, so I'd definitely be calling a vet.

If you'd had diarrhoea for 2 weeks, you'd go to a doctor wouldn't you??
