Ok count me in on my daughters pony, hehe, but my mini Ali doesnt come home till just before xmas so I cant leave my filly home on her own, so may have to leave it till after xmas, but email me all the details please, when it's on....
I am in Maddington so I will have a spare spot in my float, so I can pick someone up on the way, if I can make it....

I would love to also join the rides once my girl's feet are sorted out. Long story but we have been battling feet trouble for some time now so she isn't up to riding just yet.

I live on the Peter's Way loop in Oakford. Gaia, have you heard anymore about the link from Darling Downs to Wandi? I heard a couple of months ago the bridge wasn't going ahead due to insurance issues. You can still cross the drain if your horse is willing to go through water.

Wow, trails from darling downs to wandi would be great.

I get back from QLD on the 6th, so I have a few weeks to find a horse and get ready for a trail ride then hehe, don't like my chances, but you never know!

My email is sunshine83 @ westnet . com . au (without the spaces)

Ali and I used to ride the comic court circut a bit when she kept her horses in Baldivis, it was really nice. WOuld love to try some longer rides up in the hills/real bush a bit though sometime.

I hope these rides keep up, they sound great.

Which bridge jewels? If it is the one that connects the Peters way loop to the Kargotich rd trail, I haven't heard anything about it but I have been crossing that water for years and I think it is part of the fun! Although in winter it would be a bit of a problem for horses that didn't like water as it get way above there knees and it's moving too. My horses have never had a problem though....

Gaia, yes the Trails Assoc have been investigating putting a bridge across and with the tunnel under the Tonkin Hwy, the Darling Downs trails will link with Oakford trails.

Are you riding one of your trusty Standardbreds? My TB girl has big issues with the water crossing. I am hoping I can work her through this in the new year. Will just have to see how she is in regards to her feet problems. First things first....!

You mean there is a trail that links up the Tonkin underpass with the Oakford and Darling Downs parts!?! With water involved?!? How did this news escape my notice before? I thought there was a couple of fences and a landfill in the way?

No Blackbat - the underpass under Tonkin is done but still no trail through to Hopkinson, but you can go from Magenup all the way through to Tonkin just can't go any further yet. Bummer!! The water I am talking about is just off the Peters way loop. You come across one of the drains and if you cross it then you can go to a small water catchment which is good fun to have a run and splash (and sometimes hoon! lol)
Jewels - yes I am on my Standardbreds

Oldhack - where are you on Kargotich?
