Default Body protectors

I'am looking at buying a body protector and I know nothing about them except they vary in price a lot.I was wanting to know, what type you have(if you have one),was it expensive, and are some more comfortable to wear than others as they look kinda bulky and hot?.

Hey,
I have a dublin airflow body protector, which is very comfortable.
I bought it second hand for $60, yes they do get a bit hot and sweaty, but its safety first right.

I have a viper. It is very comfortable and conforms to your body better than others i have tried. It is a slightly less protective vest than the tipperary though but still rated to be used by jockeys in races, so cant be too bad!! Cost around $350

The Tipperary ones are expensive but SO much more comfier! Mines so comfy i forget i'm wearing it all the time. It isn't overly hot as well.
The dublin and cheaper ones are like wearing a box. So restricting and uncomfy! Pay the extra for the Tipperary

Oh boy i brought a dublin yuk hot bulky but couldn't wear it with my stock saddle as it was too long and bumped the saddle every step

I'm going to invest in another most likely a jockey one like the tipperary one. They just look so much more comfortable.

Price wise $300 over the life of the product really works out pretty cheap. Not to mention how much some of spend on other more fashionable/competition/rugs etc.

But will continue to wear the dublin til then cos i like my back hahhaha

I have a tipperary,
ride with it for every ride,
even throughout the summer.
I love it
It's cool enough, and I forget that i'm wearing it half the time.
It's getting a little too small for me now though :c
Kidneys won't be protected for much longer if i don't buy a new one

I have a tipperary
Absolutely LOVE IT
its so nice and cool and flexible as Annie said you forget your wearing it

I use to have a dublin one
hated it
so bulky and uncomfortable!
back of it use to get stuck on my saddle which isnt that fun!!

Pay the extra money and get a good quality one that is comfy! its worth the extra $

Yup, I have a Tipperary for trackwork. Find the VIPA the most comfortable though and not so hot, although it's the priciest.
