My friend had a brand new tuza with air con....It wa the one at the easter show back in 07 I think,it was the display model they bought anyway.

As for the air conditioner it had on it I think it was manily for the camping in the float side of things and not for the actul horse

My OH was saying yesterday you can get insulation spray for cars which keeps the overall temperature down and reduces noise. We've been looking into buying a float recently and thought you use it in the float to make it more comfortable for them as they aren't insulated. I no it's not aircon but it's another idea.

put a whirly bird in the top of the float - that will draw out some of the heat, and put some vents in the sides of the float as well.

Pop out vents just in front of their heads on the sides will also help. You can close them in cold weather

We have air conditioning in our truck (an actual in the side of the house air conditioner! lol) but its only for when we pull up at a show and can plug into 240 or run a genset and its ONLY in the people section which is insulated cos it used to be a refridgeration section in a truck! lol.......

I dont think 'air conditioning' in the horse part is a really doable thing as you would need a power source and you would need a huge powered air con to take away the body heat of one or two horses, and it would have to be totally sealed.

I would go for vents, pop up vents and whirly birds Good luck!

Do you float with a companion horse? You might find that if you can find a relaxed horse that floats well would help your horse settle better.

yeah she does travel better, but unfortunately finding a companion half the time is an issue. (better go buy a new pony lol - jokes)

Nika - thats sounds like a great idea too.

RBK - yep she has done all of them with no issues, but generally floated alone too with no issues, it just popped up out of no where one day!

Might try with the storm doors open too - ahh the joys hey!
