Default Saddle stand

After many different ways of storing our saddles, putting them on saw horses, PVC pipe stretched between two saw horses
Stuart came up with this idea ,you can fit up to 12 saddles on it, he is looking at ways to improve it already, ect stagger the support posts, so that the 2 opposing saddles sit back to back, but the next 2 sit higher or lower, and put caster wheels to make it easy to move, be my guest to take the idea and or improve on it, but please share[IMG][/IMG]

Looks good.
Is it quite sturdy?? It looks to be but I'd freak out that if I had four saddles on what side it would tip over on me! I have 3 saddles that I refuse to store in a shed, much to my OHs disgust, I'm just lucky that atm we have enough spare bedrooms that I can store them in there!

My dad has something similar in his shed, but his is cemented into the floor, and each segment of his saddle rack swivels. He also has a "portable" one, that is an old truck rim filled with concrete. swivels too, but takes a considerable amout of muscle to move the darn thing.

Just beware of a plain pole to rest a saddle on as a good saddle rack needs to imtiate a horses back (can use saddle blankets etc to pad it up) otherwise the saddle's tree and stuffing can warp a bit over time(then it sits funny on the horse).

norrishbex , stu thought that was a good idea too swiveling, he is already thinking of ways to improve it.
TBPA yes all the saddles have a blanket or pad under them. what every goes with the saddle for the horse goes on there at the moment.
thanks for the input all helps cheers

Looks a bit better with a coat of paint . with the wheels on it has made it very easy to move around.
