Researching TB brands
I was wondering if there is anyone on Stockies that is pretty skilled at looking up TB brands and finding their identity? I know that there used to be somebody on here (but can't remember who) that could find the actual horse's name via its brands.
I have a couple I'd like to be looked up for SC but don't know who to ask and we can't afford to pay $50 to the registrar for every TB we get, especially as most that we have atm won't be shown and if they will, it would be in performance not breed shows.

Yeah I have a subscription to ASB and love poking around with studbooks, so just ask if you need a hand
I quite enjoy snooping in studbooks LOL!

I can't find it on her shoulder. I clipped her shoulder n everything n cant find a thing.
Was hoping I could look up her numbers and because she is a grey, would narrow it down.
I know she came from Byford. Cant remember the guys name atm though. Will hunt my brain

I think it was Paul Cooke. He is from Advanced Feeds but has TBs as well. Not sure if that is helpful or not??

Mmmm possibly wont be registered as a TB then, as they have to have a clearly discernable brand at the time the vet comes out to do the ID certificate to compete registration.
Just worth a try, have you tried running a microchip scanner over her? She may not have been branded but might have a microchip?

Haven't tried but I should. She has her numbers brand so I'm sure she must have a brand there somewhere! Possibly when she is less wooly I mite have some more luck!!
