Default Pony Pimples

Emu pony has these lumps on his head, I thought they were warts but the dentist told me they were some form of worm (then proceeded to squeeze one out) and told me the name of a wormer to use on him but I forgot what it was, could anyone help me out?

from that picture they look like ringworm to me/ might be wrong though...
imaverol is the best product to get rid of the ringworm it that is what it turns out to be.

btw.. just for reference.. ringworm isnt a worm its a zoonotic fungus... meaning it can be transferred from animal to human and human to animal..

Animal to human? EEP! I was scratching them for him today! Should I take him to the vets or try the wormer first?

ring worm will not have a little worm in the pimple. It's something else if there are worms in the pimples and the only thing I have heard of in Australia is onca circa.

As said before ringworm is just a fungal skin condition and i have never seen it where you can squeeze something out. If she was talking about a skin parasite that would most likley be onchocerca. This is best treated with any ivermectin based wormer. Be warned though that horses will often become intensely itchy when you treat them as the larval worm dies off and the body reacts and some horses do need prednisolone to help this to prevent them rubbing their skin raw.

its the oncazera or neck thread worm, but are you sure its just not blocked up hair folicals from clipping etc?? the wormer you need is equimax, you do it 2x the recomended dosage then again a fortnight later and again a fortnight later.. so 3 x double doses in a 6 week period..
