Its funny as the 2 mares i've now acquired of the inlaws to use.... were last wormed in 2000 when i first met the OH.
They were feed a bikkie of hay a couple of times a week, ran in a huge paddock thats fit for goats so hadnt had their feet done since 2000 as well (& teeth).
Both are fat, shiny, good short feet (from the moss rocks/hard ground), i wormed them about 7 wks ago now & neither had worms.
My horses were always on the farm but never in direct company.
Amazing, they live "feral" & look better than many i've seen posted on here!!
I worm every 7/8 wks, wormed today only because i've moved neddies around.
I always use Imax Gold, a liquid wormer, goes along way & much cheaper in the long run, i buy 2 bottles & worm ALL of my neddies with some spare.
Although today i used Strategy T, great rotating wormer, my weanling filly just looks horrible with a big potty tummy still & she's on good feed but still looks wormy, she was 1st wormed with Imax Gold when she arrived & im sure to expect worms tomorrow or Sunday, hopefully.
Anyone here check the poo's after for worms?
Anyone found worms after a worming, even though you worm religiously?
