Default Horse Muesli Feeding......

I would like to know what horse owners that feed this think and what results they have had??? Amounts and what brands??

As farmers we have always fed grain form silos and pellets as in Gumnuts Mitavite for older hayburners but never this type of feed.
I am able to get a trailer load from a fellow horse owner that is going out of nags and I was interested in others opinions about it.
Thanks

I dont feed it due to the molasses content, but if I was offered a free trailer load, i'd take up the offer!

I get it now and then as a bit of a treat because of the molasses, but its not a staple in my horses diet. LOL but if you don't want that free trailer load, I'll take it

Muesli is the bulk of grain that my horses have. The only other grain/s they get are boiled barley during the winter and their oaten hay. They do VERY well on Muesli and weaner/grower pellets + chaffs and ad lib hayroll.

Our riding horses are TB's and they don't get fizzy at all

We tried it out, on two TB's recently
1 took to bucking and the other got laminitis. I was soaking about 1 cup each so it made up less than 1/2 a mitavite scoop each
these guys already hardfed and the high grain tipped them over the edge (re took out the pellets and replaced with museli)
both have returned to normal as soon as stopped feeding it...

We have fed T&R Horse Muesli for nearly 10 years to our race horses, in full work and spelling, to our broodmares, weanlings, retirees- all of them.

Never had any problems, although the quality has diminished over the years, without doubt. (as in- cheaper quality grains used).

Never had any sick horses though.

Or skinny ones lol

Have a 16.3hh QH and a 15.3hh QH and was wondering what the average amount people were feeding of this muesli ????
Asking due to no information as its bulk packed.
I am thinking about my broodmares as well and young ones. I have lupins and barley on tap....well nearly lift the door the on the side of the silo and I soak both these feeds. My horses do real well on lupins and barley.Ad lib hay and grain chucked in their bin.
Thanks for info.
