Yep, mine have all gotten to the bird seed or chooks pellets at one time or another with no ill results. In fact, my daughters first pony used to break into the chook pen every chance she got, and eat all the pellets, with the chooks all pecking at her feet for whatever dropped out of her mouth. It used to drive my OH nuts, no matter what sort of lock he put on the pen door, she used to find her way in
My old girl has also eaten an entire 15 kg bag of dog meaty bites before too, I thought for sure she would get sick, but nope, its just given her a dog food fetish

Interesting about feeding seed to seed paddocks though?...Yes we thought so too. We had a standy that loved dog biscutes and would go though white tape to get at them..

we use to live in a 17ft caravan on our land at pindimar and our then 18mth old clydie stallion would climb in looking for bread, carrots, what ever, he would give it a taste test. stu could not find him one day at feed time, he was in the far end of the caravan looking out the window at everyone.
