Default Glyde joint supplement. Anyone tried it ?

Has anyone heard of, know anything about or tried this product before ?
I had my Missy Muffet to the vets today because she's having few issues with one hind leg and a reluctance to bring it under herself and track up properly when asked for a lengthened trot and sometimes even in canter.
Long story short, turns out that's it's just plan wear and tear causing the issue and I'm putting her on a supplement.
It's called Glyde. It's an oral paste and it's active constituents are:
Chondroitin Sulfate
Glucosamine HCI
Green Lipped Mussel Powder.
Be interesting to hear from anyone who's had a horse on this product as it's fairly new to the market and what, if any, results they've had.

Sounds interesting!

Do you know who makes it?

It's made by Parnell Laboratories in NSW.
The label on the tub says it's for research purposes only and is not yet a registered product.
I thought it might be worth a go as it contains the Green Lipped Mussels which, if what I saw on TV the other night is true, is proving to be very effective in the treatment of arthritis in humans.

Apparently it's supplied for use on a trial permit at the moment.
Haven't got the bill yet, but I'm told it's not too pricey.
It's acutally cheaper that some of the other products available at the stockfeeders.
It's a 2 litre tub of paste and at a maintenance dose of maximum 20ml daily (after the initial period when the dosage is of course higher), it's shouldn't work out to be that bad.
I was looking at trying that product you use PSO but never got my backside into gear and ordered it.
Bad mum !

Do you have to purchase it from your vet?

Yep its made by Parnell labatories.

Our vet practice sells it in 750gm tubs its fairly new to the market but has higher concentrate levels of green lipped mussel, glucosamine and chrondriton. It s freeze made so the goodness isnt lost by the slow cooking process.
