yeah but what ever you do, don't ask cliff to drop some off to your houe, he will bring you a truck full!!! LOL just go ask for some and pick up how many you want.

Ours will be filled with dirt soon so no snakes will be able to get in, making darn sure of that, i'm terrified of the horrible things.

Haha you won't catch me lifting up a tire on a hot summers day. After finding a few snakes and some pretty decent sized spiders I'm petrified! lol
Thanks for the idea!

They are nice bales hey deschuur, i will have to order 1 shortly, a roll is lasting 2 ponies, 1 horse & 5 mini's about 2 days, lol......

I dont understand how people dont feed hay.
lol Remaani you will get a lot more than two days out of one of those bales, and you have seen how fat and shiney the herd is on them and that is all they get.

Gee I didn't think of using tyres to rest the hay on, good idea which I shall store for future use Having said that I would still go with laying down a good tarp to rest the hay on, you can lift up the edges to wrap round the bottom and then one over the top will keep it nice and dry Less pfaffing around trying to get the bale onto tyres or pallets.

Lol Ranger do people tie the bales to washing lines there must be a fair few bent washing lines in your neck of the woods

Hmmm I think your idea is easier Deschuur lol.
Whats size are the bales generally? (in meters)

I would have to go and measure them but a very rough guesstimate would be 2m long, about 1m wide and about 1.6m high. But that really is a very very rough guess, I am pretty useless at guessing sizes

Thought I'd let you know. The bloke was lovely and dropped it off for us .
Tied it to our tv ariel (we have one of those HUGE tower ones lol) and dumped it out the front in the drive way where the float is usually parked so no idea where I'm gonna put that now lol.
Covered it with tarps.

All three horses turned their bums to their hard feed and tucked into their hay!!! Poor guys.

If we had a big shed we'd buy 3-4 of these bales at a time!
