Default T/Bred Crop-Outs?

Does anybody have any information on the T/Bred Crop=Outs? They are a T/Bred with a lot of white markings. They look like a paint but cant be reg. as they are T/Bred.

Any information on this would be great as I have a chestnut with very heavy white on him , and would like to show him in hand.

Thanks

I believe the correct term is sabino. I am pretty certain the TB registry doesn't call them anything other than their base colour so your boy would be registered as chestnut.

Lucky you!! I have ALWAYS wanted a good sabino TB!

If he has enough white you might be able to reg him Pinto, but I think he'd need a belly splash tho, not just legs & head?

Does the white need to go above the knees/hock to be considered sabino.

My mare has a lot of white and even a belly patch. Wondering if she would be considered sabino or if they need more white on their body?

A Mungrup bred horse hey. Looks nice. Whos she by?

I think they have to have a white patch larger than the size of a dinner plate to be registered as a Pinto. But dont quote me.

mmm...would imagine that the white on the legs would have to extend further than a normal sock if they have no body splashes....have heard the dinner plate rule also.

She is still a damn nice mare Jodie!

I'm confused is the dinner plate rule for white markings to be considered sabino or for pinto registration?

On another note found this site about coloured thoroughbreds. Some very nice looking horses there!

Cool and Unusual Thoroughbreds!!!

From what I have been told to be sabino they only need a few characteristics popular to the colour not all of them. I have chestut with white all through his coat and on the underneath of his muzzle and he has a white blaze that doesnt have a dinstinct outline but tends to white out if you know what I mean. At the top of the blaze he has a lot of white hairs when people see him they think he is old and going grey lol but I have been told he probably has the sabino gene.
