I am not very familier with this 'breed' obviously but I have heard that they are very hardy and tough as you'd imagine from a native pony bred in such harsh conditions (and like most native types),and are easy to train.
The few I have seen look very nice ponys, not sure about movement etc but I'd imagine this to be fairly average......I guess you have the very good ones and the pretty average ones like in any breed.....I'm not to sure on breed standard either.Do they have one even ??

I'm in love with them Fantastic how their mind is so different to a 'domestic' horse. Can't wait to work with some in the future.

well i think on my knolage of breaking a few in kalgoorie there alot like the australian stock horses to be honest with you. thats really what they are. when u think about it what is the australian stock horse? its many of breeds turned into one spacific breed of the australian brumby. there very smart and inteagent horse not much diffrent when they are broken into saddle to a domestic horse. i know alot of cutting and rodeo pple that ride them. alot of brumbies up north have got purshon in them and the ones qld nsw and vic got all breeds in them.

Never dealt with brumbies but my dad has..... said they are as tough as nails, lol.

Keeping a brumby entire, are they registered?
I guess they'd need to be like any other breed of stallion, well conformed, having characteristics of the breed/s, temperment yaddah yaddah yaddah.......
