I have an ulcer suffer too. He was put on Gastrozol at first then once the course was over, I put him on slippery elm powder. I make sure his hard feeds are wet. *touch wood* he hasnt had any since Feb/March.
I also have found that If i put him in a certian paddock here, it flares up an attack.
