Seperating them until you go is a must so then she might befriend another horse. I personally would tell her when exactly your going and let her know that there will be a risk of her horse injuring its self. Then its up to her to take responsibility for a horse she probably can't control. If she doesn't turn up just go the mare probably will run around like an idiot for a little while but will soon realise there are other horses. In short its not your problem and by letting her know when your going and what can happen its out of your hands. Good luck and I really hope the mare settles.
