Do you mean 'dun' as in a true genetic dun or 'dun' as in the way the Welshies (and one or two other breed societies) use the term to refer to buckskins
?
There are also horses with false characteristics or counter shading which could pass for duns except for some obvious giveaways (like no dun in the pedigree - Dollar has an Arab / RP cross filly with some of the best examples of false dun characteristics that I've ever seen, right down to the leg barring) so she would need to be a true genetic dun in order to produce one herself.
