The maximum image size is 150 Kilobytes - your image will not be accepted if it does not meet these requirements. 1. Place and Manage Your Own Advertisement(s)  
To get started access our Classifieds from the Main Menu and register a user name by clicking on "Place Ads". Remember you can click on "Help" at any time for a complete guide.

$20.00 advertisements placed on-line by a registered user must be paid for by credit card or direct debit as soon as your advertisement has been placed on the system. If paying by direct debit please email us for details.

You can post your photos to us for scanning and upload at no extra charge.  In fact, you can post your entire advertisement (detail and photo) to us for processing and will only be charged as above (this service does not apply to the FREE advertising categories). Just send us your advertisement detail with (or without) your favourite photograph and a cheque or money order for $20.00 payable to "Stockyard Classifieds" to the following postal address:-

Tips For Users

• Our Advanced Search form (link located on the main classifieds page) utilises Boolean logic functionality to perform searches on our database. Users should take advantage of this powerful facility, for example, if a user wanted to do a quick search for all “arabs” and “quarter" horses in our horses category:-
  
  Similarly, to search for all “wintec” saddles in our Equestrian Equipment category type in the word wintec in the Find Keywords field and select  Equestrian Equipment from the Category List Box.

• To ensure that your telephone number will be displayed in your contact information make sure that “yes” appears in the list box under “Display Street Address and Phone Number in Ad?:” when placing your advertisement. If the box is left blank your phone number will not appear.
  
   

• Prepare your photos before upload. For example, crop any unnecessary background and make sure the photo(s) meet our size parameters If you do not have software such as Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop to delete unnecessary background and to resize your image files listed below are some alternatives:
  
  1. You can use the 'Paint' software application that comes with Windows XP (Start> All Programs> Accessories> Paint). You can then use a FREE application such as PicSizer to downsize the size of the image file before upload to the Internet. To download PicSizer click here.
  
  2. Microsoft Office picture manager - just right click a photo in any folder and choose "edit" and it opens the program. You can crop/rotate/auto correct using this program as well as compressing and resizing them to appropriate sizes for upload to the web.
  
  3. Shrink Pictures is an excellent online application that allows you to resize your picture files over the Internet.
  
  If you are unable to change your image file to meet our upload parameters please do not hesitate to email us your image file for us to upload for you.
   

• When enquiring about items for sale we suggest that you send an email to the contact person in the first instance. This will save on phone calls if the item has already been sold.
   

• If you are buying equipment, tack etc. and having it delivered we suggest that you use C.O.D.(Cash On Delivery) unless you are confident about the person you are dealing with. This will ensure peace of mind. C.O.D. is easy to use. Take your parcel to your postal outlet and complete a lodgment slip. The article will be delivered to the postal outlet closest to the recipients’ address, and the recipient will be informed that there is a C.O.D. item awaiting collection. There is a minor charge for the C.O.D. service which you can split with the seller.
