    This is not a problem issue, but have you ever wondered why horses yawn when they don't/can't breathe through their mouths?

    I actually didnt know that, but my TB will ALWAYS yawn after we have been riding and I take his bridle off. Maybe he's bored...

    i know horse yawn when they relax or some muscles are relaxed. it is the same thing as when they release methane (doesn't that sound posh [​IMG] ). when doing masages horse will yawn or release wind as the toxins in tense muscles are moved adn released.
