My boy has got some splinters in his rump! I know what a doofus, he like to scratch on posts! Anyway vet had removed them under GA (argh!!) but a few weeks on and the procedure incision has burst, i suspect there are more in there. Am going back to vet first thing Monday .. but wondering if until then i could poultice it to draw them out..

Any advice for a good poultice? I've got some animalintex, should i just use that or put something on it or soak it in something?

    Horses!!! *#)

animalintex works very well to drawe things out.
Failing that mash up a potato.

Poor boy bet he has a sore behind ;)

oh yeah he was walking very gingerly but once 2 x TEN cm ones were removed he felt a LOT better!! he's not lame this time, but the wound which is bit smaller than the size of pinky fingernail is oozing.

    potato??
