pinto1980's list is good!! also add torch, batteries, toilet paper (!!) tarps, gas lantern/cooker, table...

found that when we do shows we always forgot stuff (wether camping away or ot) so we made a list onto our comp and every time we go awaay if things get discovered that we need we add it to the list. although we now do 2 lists - one for summer and one for winter...

another thing we found helpful esp if competing for a weekend was to take a hay bale rather then individual nets/bags... this way you can feed asmuch as you like esp if they are in yards for ages...

    hope this helps... **)

LOL!!! You've repeated the wine pso ... Of right no I think you pack 3 bottles :p right?

I'm not going through my list ... mainly because it only all comes out when I'm actually packing but a couple of handy things to have are:

Small first aid kit - dont go past this as it's very handy!
small mirror - vain i know but I have contact lenses and can't put them in without
BEANIE - great for when in sleeping bag at night and your head is the only bit left thats cold
thermals - not exactly the best look but great for under trackies at night to keep warm
battery powered lantern - means you dont have to have someone hold a torch when checking horses/filling up buckets/walking around at night
wool rugs - no joke I've had to sleep with just 2 of these when *somehow* I ended up with my sleeping bag BAG but not sleeping bag at an event where it was 0degC. Amazingly enough I was just about warm enough so rugs wool rugs are handy!!
    ear plugs

Always take extra buckets and feed but not too many rugs - they take up so much space!! 1 warm thick doona, 1 canvas set if it's likely to rain, sheet set and some woolies should do it. Also, with your extra buckets, make sure you have a lid for at least one decent size one or a water container as sometimes you have to park a long way for the nearest hose/tap and you'll want to store some over night so you dont end up carting it at 3am when your horse knocks his water over (and ít'll happen *#) ).

Don't forget to take extra roughage ie. chaff and hay as if you horse is standing in a yard all day instead of (I assume?) a paddock then you'll need to make up that roughage with hay and chaff. It's also handy to distract them if they need to settle in their new environment.

I like to think just before I leave what would I use in my daily routine looking after my horse at home - that helps me remember things like the pooper scooper, broom (very handy for cleaning our float), chairs etc.

Re: food - either have transport to a local place and pick up some take away or have something easy like soup ready made before you go so you can put it on a cook top. We use a portable one with gas cans (buy them at camping stores - they're not that expensive and very handy) to cook stuff on. Of course, if you're going to do that, dont forget utensils, plates/bowls, a fry pan etc.

    Hope that helps,

    esy

we tend to have to do a run every time we go somewhere as we have inevitably forgotten something!!

write it down, save it on your comp then print it before you leave and once the car is packed. that way you can go through it again to make sure.. although our theory is if its easy to forget chances are you dont really need it!!

we were very papmpered this year with gas everything, a laptop andd a couple of dvd's!! and considering it bucketed down we put on the dvd settled in with our beverages for the evening and some food (read chocolate and lollies) and watched eventing!!

oh and if you do bring food bring quick things - nothing worse then wanting a quick snack and not having anything...

nearly everything has been covered ... i dont have a list, should really make one - we always are forgetting something!

we have a portable fridge which is very handy ... if we are camping for a night or two we make up spag bog the night before, and then just heat it up on gas stove **)

    plenty of torches/lanterns
spare clothes ... SOCKS lol i always pack too many clothes but its better than not enough esp if its raining.
    chairs/table
    2 minute noodles!
