Weee how exciting! I'm second last rider for the day :p

Can't wait! Should be a great day, just hope the weather holds out for us!!

That ended up being quite a decent turnout Janet!! YAY! Well done!

**Question** With the new going between unofficial/official rules - does that apply to hunter classes too? And/or mixing between hunter and hacking (if that makes any sense at all...)

Thats great - thanks Janet!! I will walk fast - promise .

Nick - as far as I know doing official working hunter is the same as doing official hacking or show hunter and therefore makes you ineligible to do unofficial hacking (or hunter events) in the future however I do know there was talk if waiving that rule for those who *just* do working hunter but haven't heard if it's been decided yet.

If you mean going the other way and an official hacking/show hunter rider is competing in unofficial working hunter then no - I don't believe that's allowed. It's only possible if the event is an "open" competition like the Anzac Day show ...

Cheers muchly es **) I was speaking of your first explanation - just wondering if someone and their horse is going up into competing official working hunter is now stuck in official hacking and show hunters etc etc. I tried finding the ammended rules on the EA website but got a little lost  But I think you've answered my question :)*

I've got a brown half numnah but as I'm using my XC saddle not sure whether it will fit properly. If I use a saddle blanket as I"m doing unoffic, what colour will it need to be - I'm guessing white, would that be right?

Janet, should we be bringing number breastplates? Or is it preferred we wear our numbers as the armbands? Or doesn't matter either way?

The rules dont say anything about breastplates.
I had a number of official horses jumping in them last year and no complaints.
I've emailed Diane Bennit to check.
I will let you know ASAP.

Draw has changed slightly... only by 5 mins.

We're in the same class, both riding spunky grey ponies, so be prepared for me to yell out "Hi Tilda from Stockies!!!" hehehehe ;) :p I'm number 61 :)

The number breastplates don't really act as a breastplate, so thought it'd be ok... and I think you're right Janet - breastplates are fine, it's just no martingales etc? But if you find out, I'd love to know, thank you :)*

A couple of other questions for you Janet...

    - If using a saddle blanket instead of numnah does the colour matter i.e. could I use brown or does it have to be white?

    - Can we use drop noseband (both in unoffic and official)?

    im number 52 =]

with my jumping saddle, can i use a breast plate? i normally have the martingale attached but can take that off =].

if allowed the breast plate can i warm up in a martingale and take it off before i go in the arena??
