    Hi All

    From the WA Horse Council

Well known horseperson, show announcer and Western Australian Horse Council Chairperson, Diane Bennit will be hosting a new radio program dedicated to everything related to horses. Starting late October, the half hour to an hour segment will be aired on a Tuesday at 6pm on Community Radio 91.3 FM Sports FM (Western Sports media) and Diane will be covering subjects from the RDA to Rodeo, Dressage to Royal Show stewards and all the areas in between... with exception of racing and pacing.

PerthNow.com.au - the website run by the Sunday Times - has joined forces with SportFM to have the station's major broadcasts streamed via their site. Both the Sunday Times and Perth Now are promoting the stations output, providing SportFM access to 800.000 readers and over 1 million UNIQUE browsers per month.

There are two things that a radio program needs before starting up and that is an appropriate name and a catchy, 'horsey', introductory tune to lead into the program. Diane is asking readers for their help in coming up with these. Any suggestions can be emailed to her at bennit@optusnet.com.au and if one of these names or tunes is selected then you could win a 12 months subscription to Hoofbeats and a binder to keep these in.
You can also email suggestions to Diane for possible ideas for interviews and information about major events happening or just anything to do with horses that you feel would be of interest to listeners or if you have a business that would be interested in sponsoring a segment.
