The USA is reporting an outbreak of equine piroplasmosis in Florida, a disease thought to have been eradicated 20 years ago, so it's not just Australia dealing with these sort of issues.

I guess the global village we live in now is just helping these pathogens to evolve more successfully, and to discover new ways to infect and spread.

they were talking about all the other vet staff at the clinc, that had been touching, feeding, cleaning yards, and helping with opperations and stuff.
out of all the staff, and clients that had been there during that period, they tested i think about 50 people, who all came back clear after the first test, but then about a week later, two became sick and they were the ones hospitalised. and one of them was ben, how died last night.
    hope that helps.
