trainers where?

    hallo Im new to this site (and the country).
    I have this horse I would really like a trainer to come and teach us
    (western pleasure). someone around armadale. Dose anyone know where to look? im feeling a bit lost here, seems like every body doing english/jumping here :)

    Hi Katherina,

    Welcome to Australia!! I think you're right, there are more people here who ride English, but there are definitely western people around too. Unfortunately, I ride English and I'm from the Swan Valley so can't help you directly, but I know there are quite a few events run by the WA Quarter Horse Association (WAQHA) and also the WA Appaloosa Association. If you check out their websites, you might be able to find some contact details for trainers, or just give the associations a call or turn up at the next show.

    You might need to travel, Mindi Thompson is in Cardup and Gary Marshall is in Mundijong and both do western lessons. Vanessa Hancox does ladies group days during the week at the SEC. All people do come to the shows and all do lessons with beginners. Gary more so trains the horses then gives lessons.
