Beautiful weather in Perth encouraged in excess of 200 people to attend the Touchstone Farm open day and stallion parade

With a fine array of stallions to be paraded people arrived early and enjoyed the hospitality of Touchstone Farm and the fine culinary efforts of Celebrity Chef Greg House.

Newly appointed Nominations Manager of Touchstone ,Paul Quarrell took on the role of MC for the day and certainly enjoyed the opportunity to showcase the stallions standing on the Farm.

It would be an understatement to say that there was great interest in Shrewd Rhythm.Having a quality son of Danehill Dancer stand in WA in partnership with industry luminaries such as Patinack Farm and Lindsay Park Stud is a tremendous boost for the local industry. He is sure to be well supported and certainly is an attractive prospect for local breeders.

Vital Equine has furnished into a tremendous stallion and this impressive son of Danetime looks set to match his book of 100 mares last season again in 2010.It was perfect timing to have a newly arrived foal from the quality Octagonal mare Away on the ground and with a fine array of yearlings on display he generated great interest.

The reliable and classy Danasinga-one of the best bred sons of Danehill at stud anywhere in Australia needed no introduction and he certainly displayed the grace and manners that have made him one of the most successful stallions in Australia. Danasinga will be serving some quality mares both from local and interstate breeders this season and with his book capped at 100 early bookings are essential.

Flying Pegasus has been one of the most well supported stallions in recent years and with his first crop to hit the racetrack this season he has the chance to really make his mark on the local industry. All reports from breakers and trainers are very positive and with most people seeing Flying Pegasus when he first arrived in 2007 straight off the track it was clear what an athlete he was.Now set to serve his 4th season and having let down in to a magnificent stallion he really is shaping as a star of the future.

We would like to thank everyone that attended and a special thanks to local bloodstock agents Grant Burns,John Chalmers and Michael Flannery for taking the time to visit.
