it says that you must have ,long sleeves
i have been to shows before where it says that and on the day they allow riders in polos and short sleeves
i dont have long sleeves, would i get away with short
or do i have to go shopping lol

:Di would wear long sleeves personally...

being a serpy member and also i think long sleeves are better... more protection if you fall off

    We're going.

I think if a programme states long sleeves, then it is up to the Gear Checker to ensure that riders are outfitted accordingly before mounting. I've been told the Long Sleeves are for Sunsmart directives. If it's clearly stated on programmes/entries, a rider should make sure they are equippied for that grounds' rules.

I've also seen the short sleeves worn and think it is unfair to those who are fully prepared for an event (not just at a Training day!).

as one of the gear checkers at serpy i say definately wear long sleeves.

it is a pcawa rule that going on xc (not just for the sunsmart rule) that you have long sleeves.

as stated any long sleeve shirt will do as it is only a training day, no need to buy a special one. unless you really want to.

Shereem, can I ask a question about gear? With the boots, on the horse :), do they need to be taped? I have the boots which have the metal thingys that you thread the velcro strap through. Pretty sure I don't need to tape but would like to double check.
