    Seeking Advice On Clydesdales

We are looking to purchase a clydesdale mare she is 18 or 19 yrs old, and has been broken in to chains saddle harness etc. I have been with horses all my life, but have not had a lot to do with clydedales. What are there temperaments like overall, Im told they can be piggy. Also what else should i be aware of? Thank You

I would just treat it like any other horse, but pay particular attention to diet and hoof care.

Be aware that rugs and shoeing may cost more due to size.

At that age have a look out for arthritis. Our vet told us they were prone to getting arthritis earlier than other horses due to their size. Hope you have fun with your horse :)
