I think the new surface of the sec indoor is terrible, really boggy.
today all the riders ponies fetlocks were covered. They ended up moving to the warm up arena.
    what do you think???

I walked through it going past the doorway, and thought I was at the beach! It appears to be white sand, with the shredded paper mixed through... but far more sand than anything.

There is NO WAY I could run a horse out in hand through it, how it is currently. I do hope there is something else going on top.

Lets give them a chance to get it right

I remember when the arena was 1st put in - everyone was jumping up and down years ago

Now the surface has been changed again for US
It will take a bit of time to settle and I am sure it was a real big rush job to get it usable at all for this weekend

Only going by what the EWA have posted in their letters and news reports

I must be the only one that acutally reads them!!

If it is not safe - the will fix it - just give them a chance

Its the same surface as was used at the beijing olympics ;)

I will reserve judgement until I have ridden on it...but it looks HEAPS better than the old surface**)

That wasn't the same surface so I don't see how that affects it? They were going to replace the surface anyway..

well I haven't ridden on it so can't judge, but it did only go down on Friday! so needs time (& horses) to mix it in and settle. And I would think it must be pretty good if Megan Jones and Wendy Schaeffer (amongst a heap others) have resurfaced their arena's with it - it must be pretty good :)*
