Im wanting to move my horse from its current agistment. At the place Im planning to move him to, only sand paddocks are available. I know sand colic would be at an increased risk for my horse, but i was wondering if anyone with any extra knowledge could tell me any other risks and how to prevent them.

I'd be getting a hay roll if possible, horse needs to have 24/7 food so he doesn't go scrounging through the sand. Fed on a large mat (rubber matting is really good) Possibly a week long psyllium course every couple of months?

Fibre is the key really **)
