I would rather ride a horse any day than go skydiving or bungee jumping..just the thought of skydiving makes me feel absolutely green. Unfortunately the potential liability factor is the reason I no longer let other people ride my horses ( other than an instructor during my own lesson). Remembering back to my long ago school days in NZ when kids would bring their ponies to my primary school for 'show and tell' and the whole class would take turns to hop on, helmetless, for a potter... no liability then or it wasn't worried about. Imagine a school allowing that now...the days of casual pony rides are sadly over.
