The WA Connemara Action Group is holding their annual pony feature breed show on the 21st September at Brookleigh.
Breed included in this year line up:
Miniature Horse, pony, small horse and foundation
    Arabian pony, ARP, Part-bred Arabian
    Australian Pony
    Welsh A, B, C, D and Part welsh
    Connemara and part bred Connemara
    CBCHSA and Appendix
    Riding Pony
    Part bred APSB

This year we are also including a Grand Champion Senior and Harness Classes. More pony breeds can still be added if we get enough interest to put them on (would need at least 3 entries and sponsorship).
many breeds still available to sponsor

There are no dilute colour classes as these have not been supported in previous years with entries. There is any other registered breed which dilute ponies can enter in and if there are the numbers then classes will be reintroduced next year.
Same goes for any other pony breed/registration not on the program.

Get him out for the Part Bred Arab classes so they are well supported. :)
    I won't be bringing Aurora - she's a ball of fluff LOL.

If you have a reg'd Arab Pony that might be over 14.2 (not measured) can you still enter? or is it 14.2hh and under only?

Sassy, I think I read in the program that if they are over 14.2hh, as long as you have proof of pony breeding, they're fine to enter :)

I'll be there with the fatty Pig-pony in the Cob classes :)

Hi Sassy E4E is correct if they have pony breeding and proof of pony breeding through registration ie Arabian Pony, Part welsh, Part Connemara then they can be of any height.
The 14.2hh (148cm) height restriction really only applies to unregistered classes where a copy of the current height certificate needs to be supplied. Apart from height restrictions set out by individual breed registration rules.

I'll be taking one pure and one part-bred Connemara. :)

A couple of questions about the ridden classes. First, can I enter my part-bred if he's over pony height (15.1h)? If he is allowed, which Best Presented class would he go in?

Hi Nicki, yes you can enter your part bred in the ridden. Best presented if he is plaited then BP Plaited if unplaited then BP unplaited non-MM (part-breds not included in MM breed category)

Thanks, yeah will be plaited. Hopefully I'll have the mare going well enough under saddle by then to enter her in the ridden M&M too. I'm working on a couple of other people trying to encourage them to bring their pure and part-breds to this awesome day and help show off our breed :)*
