Anything CrossFit motivates me. Especially watching the women. Strong and fit. They can do ANYTHING! Its a bit like Bodybuilding tho. People that don't do it see the negatives, but people that do it, LOVE it. Its quite addictive.
Anyway, this is one video that motivates me .......... Not sure how to embed so if someone can do that, that would be great :)

    here ya go Gaia...admin

I've done crossfit a couple of times and loved it- but there aren't many crossfit gyms near me and the one that is close charges through the roof! To go 3x a week would cost $210 a month. My gym where I do classes that I love 5x a week costs me $48  If I could afford it I'd definitely do cross fit :)*

all fixed Gaia. for future reference...

crossfit is very popular in our gym, in fact, our gym is being taken over by women.**)

    Thanks Admin!

I'm hearing ya Izzy! I go between 2 gyms ... my beloved Round One Fitness and a Crossfit box. Round One costs me about 52 a month for unlimited access and the CrossFit one costs me about $220 for 4 x visits ............ don't know why they are so expensive. While I can afford it I will keep at it, but something will give somewhere .......... :(

Cheers admin! I used to go there but I am a more outdoorsy exerciser and even though I understand the benefits of weights, I get bored with it too easily! ( kind of like running on the treadmill)
The owners there were nice people but I heard they were selling, is that true!

Yes ft, they are very nice people.**) They did have the gym on the market a few years back but not sure if it still is.

I walked the streets of Henley Brook for many years and I still ride my bike occasionally but it does not come close to what I can achieve in the gym. Also, as you are aware it is even more important to do regular weight resistance exercises as we age. :)

The secret with the gym is the motivation and energy generated by the other members which in turn motivates me to work harder. Not to mention the socialising, information exchange and the new friends I have made.**)

They have many fitness classes up stairs which are very popular with the females too.**)

no, you spot me and I will spot you. :)

Spotting in weight or resistance training, is the act of supporting another person during a particular exercise, with an emphasis on allowing the participant to lift or push more than he could normally do safely.

I am ready jj, are you??:D

here is an example of spotting...

    haha.... my training???

um i completed my last comp and haven't trained in the last four months.... feeling like a blimp!

ill send you a pic from my last comp if you can upload Murray?

on a serious note the last couple of years did show me though the necessity of diet before considering training seriously

we all feed our horses impeccably never skimping on anything their little heart may desire or what we think they need but too often we neglect ourselves

this is my first day back of eating properly so i will consider training again this week and i know its going to hurt like a b****

send me the photo(s) oh77 and I will upload for you:

I know what you mean about feeding the horses and neglecting ourselves. It seems fairly prevalent within the horse world.
