Europa, Horseland and Saddleworld all sell a basic generic range of leather bridle wear including reins for under $60, but the quality will be dubious. Indian leather.

I know a bloke who makes really nice reins, quality leather, but last time I purchased a pair of western reins they were around $70.

keep an eye out online - i've bought a number of nice bridles from local sellers & just picked up some nice plaited reins a couple of months ago for $20.

Currently, the only Leather reins I own is harrison howard. Nice low profile too, and not WAY expensive.
