Out of the 21 horses bought by Shepp Meats 16 look like they will be homed.

The ones still available (truck will be going in the next day or two) are:

Pen 58 Stockhorse gelding broken to saddle, approx. 10 years, 15.2hh and very kind
Pen 78 ASH gelding, 5 years, leads, tie up and float. Can be regod. Sire: Talawahl Classic Doc, Dam: Moorooluck Gaming
Pen 85 Stockhorse mare, 12 years
Pen 107 Spanish Princess, Tb mare, 5 years
Also a grey Tb gelding that got sent direct, but owner said they could try and home him.

They also got a solid Standie mare from the sales, but she had pet meat only, so she is not getting a chance.
She was following people that walked past her pen at the sale.

Another sale on Friday at Echuca. Horses going up on Andrew Wilson & Co page. Quarterhorses that have papers or transfers signed. Also unpapered arabs.

Heavy horse fans do not forget the heavy horse sales on Friday 27th April. One on Andrew Wilson & Co page at Elmore and one on Echuca Horse Sales - Wednesday (but heavy horse sale on Friday).

Shepp Meats has had 6 unhandled welsh xs sent to them privately. They are between 12hh - 13.4hh and very heavy. $600.00 each (these people deal in overseas horse meat business so they get more money than doggers).
There seems to be 5 mares and 1 colt, but this will need to be confirmed.
Looks like 2 cremelo, 2 buckskin, 1 pally and 1 black with white blaze.
If suitable experience give them a call.

There was 111 horses at the sale yesterday, 2 got passed in and 47 went to meat traders. This includes 11 that went to a new business Sydney Pet Foods, a young waler and two small minis were included. So sad for them to be trucked all the way from Echuca Vic to be processed in NSW.

Shepp meats got 1 of the appy stallions and depot got the other two at the Echuca sale. :(
Shepp meats also got 12 Standies, some broken in to saddle before going into harness. One of the other Standies at the sale was bought private and once vet checked and up to the travel will be going to WA.
They also have a few unbranded and unchipped thoroughbreds that went through at Colac sale last sunday.
Not sure how long they will have.

Last Friday 27/7/2018 was the Andrew Wilson & Co run Echuca horse sale. There was over 120 horses and they decided to have ridden horses and pen horses with the same numbers and not bother to put up photos of the meat pen horses.

Unfortunately most of these horses went to meat buyers or dealers (new meat buyer on the scene, Sydney Pet Meats (buy mostly ponies and minis :( )). Shepp Second Chance Horses bought 22, they have 13 available on their facebook page before the truck comes this week.
One of the horses available is a 2007 unnamed WA bred Thoroughbred mare (Pen 64) (microchip no. 985100010920645). She was bred by Shafto Pty Ltd (tried Google but nothing came up). The mare's sire is Togougg (IRE) and dam is End Of Blues (AUS), the sire has Sadlers Wells (USA) as grand sire on paternal side and the dam has him as grand sire on maternal side.

These horses will not have long and do not think the other 7 horses will get a chance to go on the page.

The truck is gone. Out of the 22 horses at shepp only 8 of the horses and the mini mare and her foal.
Pen 64 did not make it. There was a Thoroughbred filly that only turned 3 yesterday.:_ (:(

I was not going to look at the Andrew Wilson sales page today as most weeks the horses go to dealers and to be dog fodder as there is a new dealer Sydney Pet Food (even ponies and minis).

There is a nice ridden Clydie mare had 2 foals, warmblood gelding 16yo ea and shca paperwork, 18yo Percheron beginners mare, black ASH weanling colt paperwork can be signed to register, 2 yo ASH filly Fourdees Pearl, QH broodie registered Wild About Saffron, QH broodie Skips Mytee Clu and 5yo Appy mare Pineridge Opals Girl.
These are only a small number of the horses going through today. Absentee bidding needs to be phoned through by 12.30 EST (10.30am west Australia).

There is good news and bad news for the quarterhorse broodies. Skips Mytee Clu went private for $400.00, but poor Wild About Saffron went for petfood at $340. Also some minis went to Sydney Petfoods as well.
I could not remember the pen numbers for the other ones in the post above.

The Andrew Wilson & Co Echuca sale is on Friday 31st August. There will be a large number of nsw drought effected horses going through the sale. The dealers and doggers will have a field day.
The horses are all different breeding. This will include 22 quarterhorse weanlings. Their dams were too effected by the drought and pts.

There was supposed to be a number of nsw thoroughbred broodmares at the sale on the 31st but owners decided to wait for another sale. Unfortunately Wilsons have been informed that the 15 to 20 mares have now been pts.
Also a few horses that were bought private were then sold to Shepp Meats and not able to be sold before the truck left for Caboolture.

Wilson will have a sale at Echuca this Friday 14th August, there will be some nice horses.
Cutters Moon Shadow quarterhorse gelding, Nikbar Chloe's Star 17 year old mare, Hogan's Diamontina ASH mare with papers, Fourdees Breeze ASH filly with papers, Misty Moods Majestic Princess 2015 Clydesdale filly with papers and Valmont Katarina 2006 Clydesdale mare with papers.

Just had a look on Andrew Wilson & Co horse sales page there sale is tomorrow Thursday 27th as Friday is a public holiday. There is a lot of unreserved horses coming out of the nsw drought. Clydies and x's, QHs, paints etc. The last horse bred by the Woodland brothers also. If you know anyone interested that has enough grass etc there will be good horses, donkeys and ponies going through.

Not a sale but SHEPP Meats has rounded up some camels and donkey jacks (the donkeys going through the Echuca sale tomorrow maybe the jennys) from their leased outback property. They have bull and cow camels, these will need special handling as feral.
The donkey jacks are also feral. They are aged from 2 to 6 years old. You will need to contact the Loffels. Some photos are on SHEPP Second Chance Horses page.

Andrew Wilson is having a Gypsy Cob and heavy breeds sale on 16th November.

Unfortunately Andrew Wilson & Co is having a sale this Friday 9th November. There are a few thoroughbreds from the same place going through due to owners ill health.
Also a paint stud, Alameda run by Vic Willem, are going through. Some old and new blood lines. Papers will be in the office for the paints.

If you know anyone looking for tb or paint horses could you please direct them to the sale. Because of the drought there are not many homes (they need to reduce breeding as this drought has been going for at least 5 years). Absentee bidding has to be in by 9.30am WA time (12.30 Victoria).

The heavy horse sale last week had the horses at high prices. One of the papered pure gypsy cob fillies went for $17,500. That was the highest price. 8 horses went to dealers. Maffra got 4, a part bred clydie filly sold for $180 and a black clydie gelding with white feet and blaze was bought by him for $400. This horse was sold by Maffra for $1,500. The other 3 also got resold but not sure price.
Depot bought the other 4, 2 geldings and 2 mares, a fate worse than death. Why are these dealers allowed to transport livestock into a state that has been deemed 100% in drought?

One of the part bred fillies is in one of the meat pens at the Andrew Wilson & Co horse sales at Echuca tomorrow, Friday 23rd November.
Lots of QHs and ponies in meat pens.
