Guestimating a horse's weight??

    So in the absence of scales, what formula do you all use to arrive at a reasonably accurate weight for your horses so that you don't under or over dose when worming?

    Try Googleing it. I did and there were heaps of results, some easier than others.

    I think the general way is to measure their girth and length and use those numbers in an equation:

    Alternatively, you can buy special tape measures from Horseland or online (lots of good reviews on these):
