ok, would love to hear, who has one? What color? What is the horses parents color?

i have a "Red Dun" but is bordering a "Brown Dun" as she is very dark.

Her mum is a brown and white Tobiano and her dad is a red dun overo.

    She's a gorgeous horse paintedhoney!!

My mum has bred two dun's, full bro n sis, they are bay dun's.

This is the girl, Cindy. Ali, another stockie, has Blue her full brother.

Her sire is chestnut and her dam is grey!lol We believe that her dam was possibly a dun that went grey. Some people think she's just a light bay, but she has very prominent leg barring, dorsal stripe plus the striping on her shoulders, she kinda looks like she's trying to be a zebra at times!lol

If you want to breed a red dun PH, try breeding to Cayuse Jesse McMighty he has thrown predominatly(SP) red duns... Hes is a solid Appy and on the "other" site in the for sale section..

Well after taking Denny to the Winterama he may actually be Grulla Dun as he has barring on his legs so will need to get a genetic test done for cream any way here he is just after clipping

I will have some photos of him at Darling Range to post soon (soon as I get my camera cord thingy back lol):p

Colourwise he is a grulla (pronounced 'grewya' **) ) which is dun working on black with no agouti present. If he is throwing red duns he also carries a copy of red.

Thanks Tintara, i realise he is a Grulla but PH wanted to breed a red dun and Jesse has thrown about 90% red duns over a variety of different colours which is why i suggested him....
