Do judges need to reset the criteria for hacking?

    absolutely....I outfitted my pony last year for under $500 (but did have the bridle and tail already which are about 3o years old) ;) His gear was neat and well fitted, definitely not expensive though**) You are judging the horse NOT its gear (unless in turnout)

    Both winners of EP that I competed had a fixed weymouth and a loose ring bradoon. It is a points system so if somethings are wrong and you do a blinding workout you can win. To win you have to get high marks in each catagory.

    I cannot warrant spending thousands of dollars on gear and outfits my husband thinks it is all bulldust anyway and he pays for it all!!!! If I can get a bargin then so be it. Mind you my T/O jacket is stunning and a steal at 220 pounds*#)

    Yes Hazel did breed her but she bought the mare in foal to Footlight when she came over.
