I have already asked this in the show section of SY but havn't gotten an answer so I will try here. My friend has a horse that is greying out and she seems to think she can enter him in a dilute show as a dilute as he is currently buckskin. I have said she can't as he is a grey not a dilute and they are two separate things. Can someone enlighten me please???

I have answered in the other section. With regards to not being a dilute beause he has greyed out, he is still a dilute genetically. that cannot change. Having greyed out he is no longer a dilute on the outside as he has greyed out, but he remains a dilute inside.

Grey does not stop him being a buckskin, it just leaches out the colour from the hair.
