Hi Merrylegs, I cant even find that brand on the ASB.

On the Ag Dept site, it belongs to:

    PO BOX 30

    First Registration Date 31-Dec-1980
  10. Thanks for trying... we're not 100% that this is the correct brand, it is very hard to read even when wet.

How do I find a phone number for these people or do I just write in the hopes that the address is still current?

    Hi Merrylegs
The Ag Dept dont provide a phone number and Im pretty sure they wont give one out to you, because of the privacy laws.

Best chance is to write to them and hope the address is still current :)
However I just Googled them and found their phone number, try that, I wont put it up out of courtesy for them.

hi, I was hoping someone could find some information on one of my horses?
one his near side shoulder he has a 'w' inside a circle
and on his off side he has a 2 over 8.
he is brown and ten years old and his racing name was 'century's grand'

    thank you :)

oh and also, how would i go about finding out about one of my other horses...i'm positive that she wasn't bred for racing, but she does have brands. I'll give details if anyone can help.

Mistymoon, your boy is by Euclase, out of a mare named Vite Express (by Vite Cheval). He had 17 starts for 3 wins, 1 second, two thirds and $20 255 in prizemoney.

I can try and find your mare if you give me her brand details, although I am not sure if she will be registered with the ASB.

    Thank you so much lakota:)

The mares brands are, an arch over 'AR' and 4 over 6, all on her near side shoulder.
she is twelve years old, grey.

    thanks :)

    Hi Mistymoon
Ive had a look on the ASB website and there is a brand described as "A R dot under arc" but it has nothing describing your mare.

If she is branded with both stud brand AND drop numbers on the NS shoulder I very much doubt she will be registered with the ASB as they require the drop numbers to be on the off shoulder. Are you positive she is a TB?

thank you for helping. i'm pretty sure she is a TB, unfortunatly i didn't receive and papers when we bought her, though i do know that she might have Originally come from Kingaroy, QLD. If that helps.

horses with both brands on one shoulder are usually from overseas...for example, french horses are branded one one side:)*

All horses born, bred and branded in QLD are all branded on the near side with both brands so it my be possible that she may be a throughbred.

That may be true for some breeds, but Ive yet to see a ASB registered TB from QLD with all its brands on the one side.....can you point me in the direction of one on the ASB so I can look at its ID certificate? :)
