Hello, was just wondering if anyone could tell me a way to get rid of this kind of scaly marking on my horses back legs? i am unsure what it is called. i have been told that it is most common in darker coloured horses and that i have to keep scrubbing it off until it disappears, I have done this weeks on end and it does eventually go but i have found it comes back thicker and harder to remove (also alot more tender and sore). Is there anything that i could apply/do with it to ensure it doesnt come back as bad? or is continually scrubbing the best option?
    Cheers :)

It is usually caused by a fungal infection not unlike rain scald or greasy heel. Try washing it in some betadine or even some napisan.
